DME

Durable Medical Equipment is also essential for the freedom and functioning of people with physical disabilities. DME is often thought of as referring to only wheelchairs but can be inclusive of many other items as well, such as: shower chairs, walkers, and specialized beds. CCDC has fought hard to keep a wide range of DME available through Colorado Medicaid and we continue to fight federal efforts to restrict access for Medicare clients (and this also affects Medicaid clients as these rules affect the whole industry).
