Ulibarri, et. al. v. City & County of Denver, et. al. , Civil Action No. 07-CV-01814-WDM-MJW (D. Colo. 2007)

Failure of the City & County of Denver to provide accommodations, including sign language interpreters, to inmates and detainees with disabilities at the Pre-Arraignment Detention Facility (city jail) and the Denver County Jail. In addition, the jails summarily isolate detainees and prisoners with disabilities solely on the basis of their disabilities. Failure of the Denver Police to provide sign language interpreters, and the failure of the Police and City Jail to provide accommodations, including accommodations for individuals with diabetes.

The complaint was filed on August 30, 2007, and an amended complaint was filed on October 17, 2007. A second amended complaint was filed on February 4, 2008.

This case has been settled.
