Access to the Colorado State Capitol Building

CCDC is investigating complaints regarding problems related to individuals who use wheelchairs and others with disabilities having accessibility problems at our State Capitol building.

Accessibility problems or difficulties may include the following: (1) access to accessible parking that is available on the Circle Lot for individuals with disabilities; (2) navigating how to request accommodations, particularly requests for sign language interpreters for the deaf; (3) accessing the wheelchair lifts leading to and from the House and Senate antechambers; (4) accessibility problems created by closing off the north side wheelchair accessible entrance to the building; or (5) any other problems you have had accessing the programs, services and activities provided at the Colorado State Capitol.

Please contact CCDC’s Legal Program Assistant at, and provide your name, the best contact information for you, the best times to reach you, and a brief description of the problem or problems you have had.
