  About us: WAND started in about 1991 when CCDC first started organizing rural groups. It now has between 18 and 25 members and enjoys a good relationship with Connections for Independent Living, our local Center for Independent Living. Focus Areas: We are pulling together a coalition of diverse groups to save what local bus service we have in Greeley at a time when cities all over the country are cutting back and even eliminating public transit. The Greeley to L route and are fighting to save our inner city service. We are pressing for a ballot issue in 2012 to fund a Rural Transportation Authority. Accomplishments: We have a reputation for fighting for better public transit.  campaign to improve county funded medical transportation by implementing a grievance procedure and enforcing state Medicaid requirements.   Upcoming Events/Meetings: We meet the 4th Thursday of the month (weather permitting) at Connections at 12:00 pm. We provide lunch.   Contact Info: Sherry Casper: 970-356-7154
