Greeley Independence Stampede/Bill Hames Shows
Citation
Warne et. al. v. Greeley Independence Stampede, Inc. et. al., Civil Action No. 04-WM-1736 (CBS) (D. Colo. 2004).
Issues
Carnival rides at the Greeley Independence Stampede operated by The Bill Hames Shows, Inc. prohibit individuals with disabilities from riding some rides and require people with disabilities to sign a release form before riding any of the other rides. They only allow people with disabilities to ride other rides when accompanied "by someone responsible for them.” These actions violate the ADA and the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act.
Status: The case settled in April 2005.
