Issues
The bus companies discriminate against passengers with disabilities in the following ways:
- failing to acquire accessible vehicles;
- failing to reserve buses with wheelchair lifts when asked forty-eight or more hours in advance;
- failing to allow passengers who use wheelchairs off the bus at stops;
- failing to schedule all legs of a trip with one phone call;
- failing to maintain wheelchair lifts in working order;
- failing to remain courteous and respectful to passengers with disabilities;
- failing to maintain the capacity to receive communications at all times concerning interline service for passengers with disabilities; and
- failing to provide alternative transportation as required by the ADA regulations.
