11/28/2011 - 9:00am - 4:00pm
CCDC Presents a FREE Training to the Disability Community
-If I have a power of attorney will that protect me if I am in the hospital?
-Do I need a will if I have no money?
-I want my significant other/friend/common law spouse/mother/daughter/son/father/advocate to be able to make decisions for me if I am unable to speak—how do I make this happen?
-I want to make sure my (insert estranged family member) does not get to make decisions if I am not able to speak—how do I make sure this happens?
--I am worried that I will be forced to sign papers that will let a hospital “pull the plug” just to save the state money when I want to live.
--I am worried that even though I said I don’t want certain kind of care that it will be forced on me.
--I am someone’s power of attorney and I am worried that the hospital staff won’t listen to me.
