Consumer Directed Attendant Support Services (CDASS)

Consumer Directed Attendant Support Services (CDASS) is a new Medicaid benefi t under the Home and Community Based Servcies—Elderly, Blind, and Disabled (HCBS-EBD) and Persons living with Mental Illness (MI) waivers that allow clients to manage their attendant services. CDASS uses the term "attendant,” though people use many other words, such as “aide,” “personal care assistant” and “homemaker.”

The following chart shows you how much each employee will cost you based on the hourly rate you
pay them. The total 'cost to you' is the amount that will come out of your CDASS monthly
allocation. This cost to you includes employer taxes and worker's compensation insurance costs that
