Accessibility Statement
The CCDC web site is designed to be easy to use and accessible to the most people possible, including people with disabilities. If you experience a problem with a page or have any concerns related to accessibility, please contact CCDC.
Detailed below are some highlights of the site's accessibility features.
Standards Compliance
At the time of this writing, August 13, 2006, every page on the CCDC web site is:
- Compliant with the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
- Section 508 approved, complying with all of the U.S. Federal Government Section 508 Guidelines
- Valid HTML 4.0 Transitional and Valid CSS code based on the W3C Validator.
Access Keys
Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on a web site. On Windows, you can press ALT + an access key; on Macintosh, you can press Control + an access key.

Text Size and Contrast
Relative font sizes are used throughout the site. This means that you can adjust the text size to be larger or smaller in your browser settings. In many browsers typing <ctrl shift +> allows you to increase the font size, and <ctrl -> allows you to decrease the font size.
This web site also features a built-in text size and contrast switcher, located just below the "Home" button. You can increase the size of the text, and also switch to a high-contrast version. Once you choose a setting using this method, your setting will work across the site, and even will be saved for when you return to the CCDC web site
Portable Document Format (PDF) files
CCDC uses PDF format for some documents on our site. We use PDF format in the following circumstances:
- When a document has footnotes, endnotes, or sidenotes because there is not an equivalent HTMLformat;
- When a document is a record of a document’s state at a specific moment, including, without limitation, legal pleadings and settlement documents;
- When a document is multicolumnar because there is not an equivalent HTML format.
- When a document has a legally restricted format, such as some legal documents;
- When a document is designed solely for printing
We make every effort to include only accessible PDF documents on our side, unless the content is also available in an accessible format on our site. Some documents associated with legal filings may not have an accessible equivalent.
While we provide site users with a link to Adobe Acrobat Reader®, a number of other programs allow users to access PDF format documents. For your convienience, here is a list of other programs that allow users to read PDF documents:

- On Windows: Jaws PDF Editor (not the screen reader)
- On Mac OS X: Preview, GraphicConverter, Safari, and OmniGraffle

CCDC makes every attempt to make all of our content fully accessible. With this said, we understand there are not only software, but hardware limitations. that may not be resolved easily.
